Last week a team of high schoolers from TN spent t Last week a team of high schoolers from TN spent their spring break serving Gospel City and our surrounding community.

These amazing young men and women served at a homeless ministry, organized a foster closet, shared their testimonies, and handed out over 2,000 invites to our Easter service. They quickly did whatever was asked in our services and were just delightful to be around.

I’ve been on both the sending and hosting side of ministry teams in multiple states and countries since my first mission trip to Texas in 8th grade. It’s such a blessing to travel and serve, but sometimes you wonder what difference you really make.

I can’t overestimate how life giving it was to our church to have a team of zealous students raise money, travel on their spring break and pour into our ministry and community. This is especially true in contexts such as ours in south FL.

I’m so thankful my son could see not one but many godly young high school men who are committed to Christ, mature, able to share their testimonies of salvation to a room of adults, and just humble servant leaders. Lord, continue that good work in TN and here among us!

Thank you students and thank you LP for investing in highschoolers and sending them to south Florida! We love you all!

Celebrating mile 200 today! This time last year I Celebrating mile 200 today! This time last year I set a goal to run 200 miles in 2024- a huge challenge at the time. I’ve run some of these miles with my dad, my son, my sister, my husband and my cousin. A lot of these miles have been run with two sweet friends who faithfully send that dreaded evening text: “we running tomorrow?” We run early. Most of the year in soflo, you have to finish before sunrise or you’ll be instantly incinerated.

After it stops being miserable, running is the best. It gives me space to think, pray, worship, and release stress. I just feel better overall. I’m thankful for an encouraging husband who has celebrated every mile for me. I hope to keep this going next year. Who wants to run (slowly) with me in 2025?
